To Capt. George M. Collingsworth Dear Sir,
It affords me great pleasure to announce to you that the following resolution was this day reported to the Convention, read, and unanimously adopted. On Motion of Mr. John A. Wharton. Resolved, That [illegible] Chosen delegates of all Texas in General Convention assembled," be [illegible J to Capt. George .M. Collingsworth and his associates in Army for their gallant and patriotic conduct in taking Goliad; and that the secretary furnish them with a copy of the same. In addition to the above permit me to express the individual acknowledgements of your obt. Sert.

Sir, Yours of Lhe 8th. insl. by express was duly rcc<l. on Lhe night of the 10th and would have been answered much sooner had not events here, which it required Lime lo control, prevented. Your request relative to the Volunteer Greys, was promptly complied with? and this corps will proceed immediately lo Head Quarters. As lo the force under my command, recent procccclings of a few disaffected individuals here, borrowing assurance from events which cannot long favour their views, but 011 which they rely for Lhe moment, prevent an immediate movement of any portion of it in the direction of Bexar. l\h.
