Commandancy of Goliad General Order. Fellow Citizens, Officers, and Volunteers of the Army of

the People of Texas.

The following order has been called for by occurrences too recent to require recital, and of a character too flagrant to admit of explanation. The necessity which compells it, is met with regret, but with unhesitating firmness. The Town and environs of Goliad, are ----------under martiaJ law. All persons manifesting an opposition dangerous to the cause espoused by the People of Texas-All who oppose, or threaten to oppose, the observance of order, of discipline, and subordination; or who endeavour to excite discontent wither in the Fortress, or within the Town, will be regarded as public enemies, arrested as such, and dealt with accordingly. All persons arriving and all those now in Town, not composing part of its fixed population are required lo report themselves immediately to this commandancy. and all persons leaving it without passports from the commander, or by his order, will be pursued, brought back, and punished for a contempt of this order. All persons, civil, as well as military, are charged with the observance of the above,-and the civil authority of the place is charged with its promulgation to all without the walls of the Fortress.
