A subscription was then offered to the meeting, for funds to aid in defraying the expenses of those who had, or should volunteer, when $3,141 were immediately subscribed. On motion of Dr. Collins, it was resolved, that the thanks of this meeting be tendered to Messrs. Powers, Rutherford, Strong, McLeoud and Hazard, for the very able and feeling manner with which they had addressed the meeting. Resolved, Thal the proceedings of this meeting be published in the gazettes of this place.
