Sir I take this opportunity of tendering to you my resignation of the office of Judge Advocate. It is useless and unusual to give reasons for so doing. I will however say that from a failure to enforce general orders and from an entire disregard of the grave decisions of councils of war I am compelled to believe that no good will be atchieved by this army except by the merest accident under heaven

The following report and resolution of the committee appointed by the Convention to report upon the Expediency of appointing an agent for certain purposes, was this day adopted. To the honorable "The Consultation of the chosen delegates of all Texas in General Convention assembled" Your committee to whom was refered the Resolution "to enquire into the expediency of authorizing an agent to purchase arms, ammunitions, etc. and Invite volunteers, to come to our aid" with leave lo report by resolution or otherwise, have had the same under consideration and are reddy to report. Thal the safety of our country requires that additional supplies of cannon, Morters, Ammunition, and suitable equipage, are indispersably necessary, and that an agent aught to be immediately appointed for that purpose and they therefore advise, the adoption of the following resolution. Be it Resolved, by the Consultation of the chosen delegates of all Texas in general convention assembled. Thal Mr. Edward Hall the agent of the Committee at New Orleans be and he is hereby authorized to
