Head Quarters Nov 7 1835.
Tomorrow new positions will be taken Still nearer Bexar both above and below town, with a view to inclose the enemy as closely as possible within his fortifications Nothing material has occured since the departure of Col. W. D. C. HaU Dr Richardson the bearer of this is a gentleman of very high moral Standing in the U..S. and. would be a very active faithful and efficient agent for the convention, and I recommend for that Station and wiU vouch for him- I know of no movement that would serve Texas so efficiently as an expedition against Matemoras or Tampico by Gen. Mexia. My health is Still very had and feeble for which reason I do not write more extensively.
