military service, since without them all must fall into chaos and confusion and as the present Volunteer army of Texas is so far on the march on a campaign of Vital importance lo the lives and ,· interests of all and as yet unprovided with any system of regulations necessary to their own security and the great objects they have in ,. view- The following rules and regulations have by advice and consultation been devised for their govcrnment- lsl. It is ordered that the strictest obedience be paid on the part of cvry man in the army to the orders and commands of their superior officers. 2nd.
