My Dear Sir

Since my return, a large and very Respeclable meeting has been held, see an account of it in the Paper of this day sent you - about 1000$ will be subscribed & I think I can say our company will be off from here in 10 or 15 days - Great excitement prevailing. I have that information spread all through the [illegible] & hope to be able to [illegible] . Write me every week & let me know the news s'ay how you have succeeded in making the loan. Can troops get lo be sent by Galveston - I see the whole coast is declared in a State of Blockade. Can I say that you will furnish arms ammunition & provisions all of the way to all who will go to you. I will depend on hearing frequently from you. I have not yet seen Bradford who I wish to make Lieutenant Colonel & who if _he takes can soon [illegible] .
