The committee also reports the following resolutions: Resolved, That a committee of three persons be appointed a standing committee, whose duty it shall be to solicit individual suscriptions, for the . purpose of procuring provisions, ammuni- tions, etc., for the use of the country. Resolved, That said committee forward as soon as possible, provisions of every kind, to Gonzales; also ammunitions, arms, etc. Resolved, That they procure boats of all kinds, on the Brazos river, for the purpose of crossing as expcditivcly as possi- ble. Resolved That said committee be appointed the general guardians of our interests at home; and that they be intrcatcd to spare no pains in raising the means for our subsistance, and that they forward on men, as fast as possible. Resolved That they provide expresses, to communicate with the country, so far as practicable. Resolved That they do all and every thing necessary for the public good; and their receipts ·shall be sufficient vouchers to the persons from whom they may receive. Resolved That we recommend the establishment of depots, on the road to Gonzales, for provisions, arms, etc.; and that the committee call on the citizens generally for supplies. Resolved That two hundred copies of the proceedings of this meeting, together with colonel Travis's letter, be published as soon as possible In accordance with the first resolution, Wm.
