Army of Operations Excellent Senor:

I approve of the arrangements that your Excellency has made regarding the safe forwarding of the stores of corn-meal and corn which are being gathered there for the use of the army. 1 am advised of the reasons why the Second Brigade was unable lo leave until the l 1th and that the cavalry brigade will march on the 13th. You can make use of the fortification sacks that may be required for the transportation of the meal and grain. Your Excellency could also leave there the cartridges for fifteen muskets, and carry in the wagons the cargas of meal that may fil it, leaving instructions with the local military commandant that he is to forward to Bejar the cartridge cases that remain in his care. Your Excellency will order done anything else which in your judgment would result to the good of the service of the nation. The foregoing is in answer to your letter of the 12th instant.
