The arch enemy of liberty-Santa Anna, prompted by vindictive fury, leads Lhc onset-death, violation and extermination are determined against us. The following letters speak a language not lo be misunderstood, and clearly show the alarming situation of the country and the necessity for prompt and efficient action. If we would save our country from lhe threatened destruction, our wives and daughters from the vilest pollution, and our families and ourselves from general massacre, FREEMEN OF TEXAS-now is the hour!!-let no consideration prevent you from coming boldly forth TO THE RESCUE! Our brethren from the Uniled States are, by hundreds, in the field, leading the vanguard for our defence; and shall we look to others alone, for that protection from dangers so alarming?
