I disapproved of many of his Vetos and as an Honest Representative Voted as my mind told me by reasoning and from repeated occurences I suppose he thought me Governed by unkind feelings and was prompted to discharge his Voley of Vulgar abuse upon me as one of the members of the Council. I sincerely hope the Convention will remedy the existing evils and calm the Public mind. If not Texas must be lost. I am returned one of the Elect. to the Convention and hope to see you there. The advisory committee, are of opinion that the Penn volunteers, whose names are herewith, should be furnished with the enclosed articles, to be receipt_ed for by the Commander, Sam! Sprague,-and that they be ordered to Capano, there to report lo the commanding officer, for orders to join the Matamoras expedition-and that they be furnished with an order to the comdt at Goliad, & all other places, where public stores are kept, to be furnished with the necessary & proper supplies in the usual measure & form-
