For Lhe care of Lhc earls and the oxen lhe necessary foremen shall be named, who will be paid 4 realcs a day for I he maintenance of each earl; each earl will earn lwo pesos for each daily trip, which will be accredited lo it by the General Treasury of the Army. The cavalry brigade will only lake pack-mules. All the mules not needed shall be placed in charge of the General Purveyor, so that after the cavalry brigade has left he shall carry the remaining food supplies which must go as a reserve behind the army, asking the civil authorities for any more mules that may be needed, and ox-earls if there are any left. Each infantry brigade will have with it a sergeant and ten soldiers of the garrison companies located in this city, so that they can take care of feeding Lhc mules and oxen of each one of Lhe companies. The Army Treasury shall pay the salaries of Lhe above-mentioned groups for all this month. Your ExcelJency will give, lo each brigade commander, his corresponding itinerary up to Bejar, instructing them that in the villa of Guerrero they shall not delay except for the time which they shall need to cross the river. Those which might be sick in the army, of this city, and who may not be able lo follow the army, shall remain in charge of a doctor who shall have a house placed al his disposal to establish a hospital, and the necessary funds for medicines and utensils; al the same time commissioning an officer of trust lo remain and take care of the arms, equipment, and uniforms of each patient, until the encl of the month, and also of the pay which they will receive from the commanders of their respective corps.
