mcnt and their duties shall End the men shall be Employed for three months al A time the officers shall continue the companies by Employing men to fill Vacancies in the company in aU cases where Accidents happen to any of the men their term of service Expires or any thing happens to to [sic l diminish their number the officers are to continue in service until informed by the Gov- ernment that their services can be dispenses with this company shall be paid out of the public Treasury at the following Ratio Viz Privates one dollar and twenty five cents per day for his services and that of his horse and arms and Amunitions & 5 dollars per month for provisions the captains 60 dollars per month the first Lieutennant 55 the second 50 the Commissioners for that munici- pality of Gonzalas shall be Mathew Caldwell Byrd Lockhart Wil- liam A Mathews For the municipality of Milam David B Frier David Falkinberry Joseph A Parker Your Committee further Rec- ommend that Instruction be forthwith Issued to the above named Commissioners to proceed immeadiatley to the discharge of the duties assigned and that instructions issue al the same time ,vith Respect to where the companies should be stationed between what points they shall Range &c by Your Excelency Your Com- mittee further Recommend that inasmuch as the company Raised at the Request of J G Robinson have not been properly provided for by Law that they be subject to the same Rules and Regulations and Receive the same pay as the companys to be Raised in Gon- zalas and Milam Your Committee further Recommend that inas- much as there is now on the west side of the Brazos A quantity of Provisions & Pack animals and various outher Articles of Public Property wich was purchased by Captain Frier who was appointed by the previous Council of which R R Royall was President and whose acts was sanctioned by the convention that Niles F Smith be Authorized to take said property into possession and after advertising for ten days to sell the same at public Auction all public claims to be Received, in payment, that are properly Au- thenticated-There likewise is on the East side of the Brazos five men Ranging now in service and some provisions wich they are now using for their support these men we would advise to Remain in service until the company of 28 men is organized if there should be any of the provisions Remaining we Recommend that Silas M
