This Bond of Agreement Witnesseth that Gregory Byrne of . New Orleans in consideration of the sum of Two thousand Dollars in cash paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and in further consideration of the sum of Three thousand Dollars to be paid in Three ------- Days from date, doth bind himself, his heirs and assigns unto William Bryan General Agent for the Texas Government, that he will deliver to him within ten days from date the Schooner Ingham (late revenue cutter) having her hull, spars, rigging, as per Inventory, and sails in a good condition and fully seaworthy, with all arlicles appurtaining to the said vessel as shewn by her inventory al the time of her sale by the US. Government and also four suitable Cannon with the usual equipment. And also to make all such repairs as may be deemed by Caplain C. E. Hawkins indispensable to the good condition of the said Schooner,-And lo the lrue and faithful performance of the above binds himself his heirs and assigns in the final sum of Five thousand Dollars, Gregory Byrne Recd the within sums Five thousand dollars from the Commissioners of Texas which amt is paid to Gregory Byrne $5000.00 Wm Bryan Agt as per Inventory ----------- New Orleans January----- 1836 Witness to signing
