Army of Operations Excellent Senor:
It seems to me that your Excellency's answer, as you inform me in your official report of the 12th of this month, to General Ramirez y Sesma, was very appropriate, in regards to the question he asked about the reenforcement of troops that the Military Commander of Laredo was requisitioning, especially when, according lo the news received from that General Headquarters prior lo this, there does not exist any enemy force in that vicinity, as that force was destroyed by General Urrea. [ca. 29 January 1836] Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana. Excellent Senor General of Division, D. Vicente Filisola, Second in Command of the Army of Operations.
