elsewhere, entirely unprotected by any military force, or plan of general defence, likely soon to be reported-and are therefore of opinion, that, prompt measures he adopted for sweeping from the country, & from the earth, if possible, these restless & bloody savages-that a speedy organization of a company of mounted volunteers, should he had to protect the country, upon Mill creek, Colorado & Yama making Golcher's camp, & Maj Robinson's the points of rendezvous, & concerting plans of action We advise, that one company, not to exceed 56 men be forthwith raised under the agency of Capt John York, Col. J. H. Moore & Stephen Townsend to rendezvous as above, lo elect their Capt, & Leiutenants & report them to the Govr & council, & proceed to immediate action, as circumstances may may r sic] indicate, upon the best advices-and make regular reports to the govt of their proceedings-That the officers elected be commissioned, & all the men & officers be placed upon the same fooling for pay and support as the "ranging corps"-and that the govt issue the necessary commissions of agency with instructions, and such other military directions as he may deem necessary & proper- 0.
