Pral. de Coahuila y Tejas, December 28, 1835, acknowledging receipt of information of peace made with certain tribes of Indians, and promising assistance.] (16331 [DIMITT to ROBINSON] To James W Robinson Esq. Lieut. Govr. & Ex Officio President of the Genl Council, Hon. Sir, A certified copy of the resolution of the General Council, appointing John Fagan, Commissary, and Contractor for this commandancy-a like copy "of the communication last received from the Commanders of the Volunteer Army before Bexar"-"a copy of the resolution inviting Genl Mexia, to cooperate with the Volunteer Army of the people near Bejar, by way of Goliad"-a copy of the resolution accepting "the service of Colonel Powers," for the purposes therein named-a copy of "an ordinance and decree, prescribing the manner and form of settling the accounts of the Volnteer Army of Texas"-and, that also, of a resolution, directing the discharge of Mr Frasier, or for sending him immediately to that place, with the charge against him; were all duly received by the hand of Maj. Benj. D. White, & have been attentively perused, and carefully noted. As only one of the documents here acknowledged, appeared either to com template, or require, immediate action, (lo wit, that ordering the enlargement of Frasier) on the part of this command, and as he had been liberated previously lo the receipt of the order of theCouncil; the formality of an acknowledgement of their receipt only, has been deferred, and it is hoped, not improperly; for the return of leisure to enable me to reply more fully, than the hurry, and high exci~ement of the hour of their reception would either favor, or permit. As Frasier was released, as slated above, antecedent to the receipt of the order, on my own responsibility, (the preservation of order in the Fort & Town, and not the infliction of
