I have written time aftr time for information relative to my duties and a copy of the provissional Government and all the acts,of the Governor & Council I have appointed J as Collingsworth, state attar. he will not I am affraid be here to envestigate that Damnable league and combiation that was at the pass-It would be well enough to appoint some other lawyer as I expect Collingsworth is on his way to the United states If he writes me; Travis would be the man; I think our port and honors as good citizens ought to be protected by the strong arm of the Law: corruption & villiany proved to the bottom if such comes under the purvew of the law. I refer you to Colo Roberson as respects my difficulties with those Mexican prisoners Colo Fisher &c. I do in plain language believe them all to be pirats according to the Law Nations so far as my humble opinon extends as to the committee of vigilence I do not concieve that any exists in this place the committee now consists of Fisher Casenau Ro H
