I wrote to you by a Mr Graves on subjects of importance-from some caus-I with others recd no intelligence particular relative to the election as well as other matters of considerable importance to this Municipality I hope the laws of the provissional Government and other acts of the Governor and Council relating to this Municipality we have prisoners here of Mexican (torn]who are committing pettit LarcenyColoFisher [torn] them and to have them punished says they are his prisoners I know of no authority that he holds them under I had private agreements with the ·citizens to take them and treat them well, clothing them &c-clear[torn]any expense, he refused to let them go and is maintaing them at puhlick expense-I wish advice on that subject, I told him I did recognize the acts and doing of the last acts of committee of vigilance and safety that I conceived to have ceased after formation of the Governor and council and Judges was recognized and had bv that{tornl in office all thosematters {torn] please to ad~se me in [torn] Your obt servant Chas Willson Ist Judge N.
