To the Honl. President and .Members of the Legislative Council, Gentlemen, J am requested by Mr John Loll, contractor al Washington lo say to you,-thal it is impossible for him lo procure provisions for the Troops passing Washington without some immediate pecuniary assistance from your Hon! body.-Corn is scarce and high, and can not be purchased without cash and such have been the heavy advances from his own purse lo sustain the army on their march lo San Antonio that his own funds are exhausted, and nothing in Lhe way of provisions can be purchased on the faith of

You will proceed immediately with your command lo the neigborhood of Copano & there make an encampment where you can command the port & protect the Stores which may be landed there - and on your arrival there you will report yourself lo Head Quarters by letter.
