On receipt of this you will proceed to Sabine & there establish your Head Quarters for a recruiting Station - a list of the officers under your command is furnished you & ordered to report to you for duty - Enclosed you have Blank Enlistments for the use of the service & you will furnish such quantity to each officer as may be necessary. - You will make weekly reports to Major R. M. Williamson at Mina and you will apply to him for future orders - You also have instructions lo Officers on the recruiting Service you will furnish each Officer a copy - The Commander in Chief expects the utmost diligence in enlisting & discipline among the Officers & men. By Order of the Commander in Chief Geo. W. Poe acting adjutant Genl. P. S. You will detail a competent subaltern to procure Rations Quarters &c for the recruits enlisted al the several Rendezvous within your district.
