The following note from Charles H. Eston, Esq., a tragedian of great celebrity, and of acknowledged talents, offering his services on Wednesday evening next, is laid before the public with sincere pleasure. The Committee have accepted of his offer, highly apprecia- ting the kindness and cordiality with which it has been made, and fully sensible of the value of the favor promised. Mansion House, Dec. 11, 1835. To the Committee of Arrangements for the Texian Benefit, Gentlemen, I am most happy to hear a Benefit is about to be tendered at the theatre, to further the interests of so praise-worthy a cause. - Should you deem my services of value for the occasion, they are most cordially volunteered.
