This will be handed to you by Mr. George Beaty, an Engi- neer, belonging to a Company of Kentucky volunteers,-he showed me a new model for Cannon Ball invented by himself, I have had a few Cast, which he takes with him for yr. inspection- Mr Beatys trade & talents may probably be of acquisition & as such I recommend him to your polite attention

We are without any late advices from you.-Our last was under date 23rd Inst, giving a copy of an anonymous letter dated at Matamoras 1 Inst, relative to the Mexicans employing the In- dians to fight against Texas.-We now enclose an extract from the Bulletin of this morning corroborating it.
