I wrote you some time since for eight (8) Mexicans for the use of the hospital at this place. Several opportunities have occurred and they have not yet arrived. The bearer Mr. Sheldon tells me he can bring four of them and the balance you can send by the first opportunity. You will give Mr. Sheldon one iVlexican for himself. I shall write you in the morning by return of your express Capt. Allen was pd. S25. in five [torn] for each [torn] he took and that was the contract.
