Accompanying the proceedings of a court martial upon Samuel T. Marks for desertion &c He has been respited until lsl October in order lo lay before the executive certain testimony nol before the Court. Two of the witnesses arc in the army, viz. William Rosenburg & ---- While. You will therefore orcier a court of examination Lo take the testimony of said witnesses and forward it to this department. The proceedings of the court martial on Capn. Hays, have been recd. and approved which approval has been entered upon the proceedings & you will make it known to the president of the Court Martial.
