Dear Genl.
Since my arrival here I have been too much indisposed to return and now it is probably unnecessary as the army likely be up here today. For the present I have halted the advance near here until you come up or I can hear from you. I have examined the different situations for camping and find the army maybe will posted about two miles above here upon the Aranoso, near the crossing from Victoria to Dimmitt's & where boats can come up to the camp. Majr. Dimmett thinks it best for the army to halt a few miles above his house upon the La Bacca, where we will have better opertunity for boat building & be nearer provisions al Lynns war house & where also Steam boats may come. If the army moves to the first named place it will be so far upon the way to the latter. I hope you have recovered.
Very Respectfully Yours Thos. J. Green Brig. Gen. Texas Army
