To W. Lawrence Qr Mr al Galveston Dear Sir,
You will forward to assist. Qr Mr Maxwell at Harrisburg all the carpenters you can from the Island, he has been ordered to lake charge of the Steam Boat "Cayuga" & repair her and you will afford him any & all the aid you can. I return to you your last report in order to have it put in form I suffered your first report to be recd (not in form) but will not suffer another report lo be entered in this office unless in due form. I have to stand the test of scrutiny & inspection & therefore must require strict rules & forms from my officers in my department
