Sir:
Out of respect for the Mexican authorities and for those who are kept prisoner in this community, we petition lo you that Captain Marlin Estrada has been missing often from roll call, has acted in a manner unbecoming Lo an officer, and has refused military discipline. Even though we are involved in such circumstances as those of today and although il is the misfortune of us officers lo have been made prisoners in this in Lerna! revolution, the actions of the individual here involved should nol be permilled Lo go unpunished. His scandalous actions are without parallel within this group. Necessary punishment is demanded; meanwhile, we beg you lo arrest him for eight days and keep him in his quarters-this aforementioned Captain- and in case he violates this arrest please advise us so that he can be punished in a more extensive manner. We send our greetings and appreciation.
