Owing to the difficulty of procuring provisions and sustaining the army at Copano until supplies can arrive I have determined to Lake a position near Linn's on Mallagorda Bay you will therefore have the goodness lo direct the Transports Troops and provisions to Linn's Landing Maltagorda Bay in place of Copano. I have the honor to be with great Respect Your obedient Servt Thomas J. Rusk It is very important if you can to bring lumber enough to make fifty or one hundred small boats.
