I enclose you duplicalcs of lale tellers-The affair of the Expedition is progressing, and Lhe supplies requesled under date of 13 instanl will he greally needed, indeed withoul lhem we shall be exposed to greal suffering and disappoinlments. Lel not trifles lherefore inlervene lo prevent the forthcoming of those supplies. I beg you will keep us informed in relation lo the brother-in-law of our prisoner. I would nol thal he should make any sleallhy visit here, and our police arrangements are not very perfect. We are in wanl of pen knives for Lhc several offices, the slores here have not replenished since Lhe great break up. Be pleased Lo send us one Dozen good penknives. The Articles I sent for, for my own use, I trust will soon arrive.
