To Col. Edward Burleson, Sir,
I have forwarded to your order a small supply of the following articles, viz sugar, coffee, soap, sail, shoes, powder, Lead, & 3 Boxes percussion caps, all your order calls for except flints, them we have not, also cloathing, that article has not yet arrived bu l is expected soon, and I wilJ forward at all time in my power such articles as you may direct.

To Col. Coleman Sir
In conformity with an order just received from the Aclg Seely of War you are hereby authorized to purchase seventy five horses, saddles, & Bridles, giving Dfts on the Govt for the same, which Dfts will be honored- you must be carefull to keep duplicate accounts of all your purchases one of which you will have sent to this office, so soon as you shall have made the purchases, you will also be authorized & required to take charge of all horses belonging to the Govt or that ought to, (such as has been left by persons leaving the country and confiscating their property) and if you can get a sufficient number to supply your men you will not purchase, all the cattle in or between the Brazos & Colorado rivers, which has been left in the same situation you are authorized Lo take charge of also may exchange cows and calves for horses for the use of your troops.
