I have the pleasure of acknowledging the receipt of two communications from you the first one I should have answered earlier but have been so much occupied and for the last eight so very much indisposed that I have really nol had lime to write if affords me great gratification to see your first paper and I hope it will have a good effect both at home and abroad our great difficulty is the want of organization the want of a press has been supplied by rumour with her ten Thousand tongues and not one twentieth of what she says is true this kept the Country always in a slate of excitement and very many honest upright men make up erroneous susp1c10ns founded upon the Len thousand
