It has become very importanl that Lhe Steam boat Ocean be got off and returned to Lhis place-I Lhcrefor request You will Send up lo the bar if She is Still aground all the disposable and useful force You can to aid in extracting her from her difficulties - The enclosed letter You will send to Capt Wilson and write him yourself- ! send a letter harHled me by Genl Ausli'n, for our friend Patrick Yours &c David G Burnet I have written the prize master of the Sehr Watchman to send all the papers belonging Lo him to this place - Also lo send Capt. Murray here. The Court is sitting & the case must be adjudicated - You will give lhc necessary orders. I enclose you a copy of the last communication from Genl. Rusk- Major General Mirambeau B Lamar is appointed Commander in CHicf or the army- I wish every convenicence nnd comfort lo IJc extended lo Capt. Murray in his conveyance here - He is represented as a worthy man & he is an American.
