I undersland Lhal a company of volunteers have or will
soon be wilh you in the Sehr. San Jacinto.
As soon as they arrive You arc aulhorised and required Lo receive Lhe Company officers & men into Lhe Service of Texas. You take a muster of the men and of the officers with their relative rank, a copy of which. You will forthwith transmit to the War depart menl. Should the Commanding officer feel any desire lo visit us here, You will do all in your power to help them forward. Other troops arc expected from the United States. You are empowered and requested to receive them all into the Service to make out and transmit muster rolls &c and lo despatch them lo Head Quarters with all possible expedition. The limes are pressive- lel us press forward. Your obt. Svt. David G. Burnet Should any of the volunteers re9uire arms, am munition or any thing else you have got let them be f urnishcd. Your armorer ought lo he constantly employed repairing arms. We musl take care of all we have got and gel all we cau.
