We have reason to believe the enemy are pushing ahead in large force. Our army will fall back to the Colorado as J think. The people are caUed upon to rally en mass. No lime for fugitives now. Something must be done to secure the prisoners and I think they wiU be ordered farther east. I advise You of this that You may make such preparation for it as may be requisite. An order lo this effect will issue soon if al all. Be watchful. Urge Capt. Brown to pul to Sea. He is wanted on the Coast. Every nerve must be Strained, every arm employed and every Soul engugcd. The great battle is yet to be fought. The Sehr. Funny Butler will come in to Galveston, b11l she must remain untouched-prize or no prize not yet determined. Let
