Y ester<lay evening an express arrived from you Containing agcncral order for men which [ have alended lo lhe people say they will gcneraly turnout l have ordered the second class the ffrst is on the road if not a l Head quarters before Lhis lime I would be glad you could give especial order as I have aeopy of the General one that one part is left out I acidently saw the oreginal and have proceede acordingly Lhe order is gone to the red land & ·if il was necessary to refer to it it would leave me in an awkard situation, in a few minute after your P-xpress arived another arived from Gen Gains the person slated that Gains would be here soon with six hundred men & if that would not six thousand should follow but he'll not get on this side the sabine all well here at preasant Gen Houston is at red river on this side his wound is bad Yours with respect S.
