I hope Such measures will be adopted by the Cabinet here, in conjunction with your Commissioners, as will put things in a train to go clown lo your Govmt. & come hack cut & dried so that during the next Session and before 3rd March when we must have a New President & Cabinet. J\11 can be accomplished. This requires activity and prompt movement, but It can be done if folks will take hole of things promptly, & with energy. I hope, we shall he able to render some aid in the accom plishmcnt of this important & interesting object. 2¾ PM. & time lo close. I will send your Telescope via N. Orleans the first Packet care of Reed & Co. to be forwarded. The balance of the things it is hardly necessary to send. I should think, until a direct oppty offers.-particularly the Piano which you will hardly Know where lo place, just now. If a Vessel goes from this, the other little things will go.
