[June 23, 1836 J Messrs. Editors-I learn from your paper, that a Stand of Colors is lo be presented to the Texian Volunteers, and a Sword to Mr. C. B. Shain, who so eminently distinguished himself in defence of Texian liberty. The hour fixed, is 12 o'clock. The object of this is lo request, that this interesting ceremony may be postponed until 5 o'clock, as there are many persons desirous of witnessing it, who will be prevented by their necessary avocation from attending at so early an hour.
