[3503) [McELROY to BURNET]

Harrisburg June 23rd 1836

To His Ex David G. Burnet Dear Sir

1 wish you to send me an order to take a yoke of oxen belonging to me, now in the possession of a certain family of this place. The circumstance of there being here, I will cnform you, they were taken by a man supposed to be employed by Govern- ment, al the San Fellippe crossing and brought to this place, -altogether against the orders of the cabinet, and are now in use by the above mentioned family ploughing and other work, and as I want them for my own use, you do me a favor by granting the ahove request provided they will not nl present be serviceable to the Government,

Yours Respectfully Almyra McElroy

P. S.

I neglected to mention that the above named mun, made an exchange of one of my oxen for another putting it in place of mine, and leaving my own in another place.
