Dear ir After congratulating ?OU on your safe Return to our adopted countr -- permit me to pre ent my sincear Respect, to you- and here a k the Liberty of oppining a corraspondence-I never had much oppertunity of contracting an acquantance ,vith yom· Exal- ency- But wha~ little I had I as ure you it prepo est me in your favour- we live here on the fruntear where little or no information can be had and when we get it it is by no means satisfactary- which is one cause of my llsking the favour of you (at your learsure moments) to drop a few line to me--- giving your opinion on gover- ment as fair as you are in your official capasity ortherised-the people in this ection of the country are anxiously waiting for the 1and office to be oppened-But information has reached us that there will be no law passed thi Cesio [n ] affect if o we will all be seriou ly disopointed- I hope the offiee will oppen tho my hope may be £ala ious- you had my vews Respecting a avy
