l1ave petitioned to Govt for my League of Land a a citizen of Texa in 1835; but the Govt will do nothing in it; I think however the testimony of IIoxey & Christman, the surveyor, of my intention to return to the Country a .a citizen will hereafter secure the Land when the war is over.

You will get youl' land as it was promi ed in our Treaty, and you, and all my Red brothers, may rest sati fled that I. will always hold yon by the hand, and look at you as Brothers and treat you a such ! You must give my best compliments to my sister, and tell her that I have not wore out the l\Iocka ins which she made me; and I hope to see her and you, and all my relation , before they are wore out. Onr .army a1·e all well, and in good spirits- In a little fight the other day several of the Iexicans were Killed, and none of our men hurt. There are not many of the· enemy now in the conntry, ancl oue of our ships took one of the enemys and took 300 Barrels o.f flour, 250 Kegs of powder and much property-and unk, a bii? war ship of the enemy. which had many Guns.
