Since my communication' 8 of the 14th inst, inclosing everal docu- ments, recd from various sources from the interior, in relation to the movements of Santa Anna, Mr Pantalleon and young Ir Keykendall, have arrived here, only five days from l\latamoros- Both of these gentlemen are known to me, and likewise to most of the people of l\Iiddle Texas, and their statements confirming in the smallest particular, my former intelligence, may be confidently relied on- As these gentlemen will visit t Felipe and can communicate full.,· with you, I wi.ll not go into a detailed account of the facts &c col- lected from them, but only draw your attention the plan of the in- tended Campaign again t Texa - It i de igned to cnt_er our country in Th1·ee Division - ne to take Bt>jar, commanded by Genl Scizma, Felisola, Cos-- one a"'ainst Oolind under Uria (recently, Gov. of Durango) and Col Garay The third, under Santa Anna him elf, to pa either above Be,iar, or between . that post, & Goliad, and proceed directly into the heart of the Colony, & then fortify I understand the Genl says he will not go into the woods & swamp.i lo fi11<l 1u and fig/it 11.~- hnt pro,,e cl throni,rh opPll Prairie to the centl'e of Texa , and immediately fortify, and let u come to him, 1111d mak the best fight we can- or that he will allow us- I only say to this am n- o ,note it be- end 12 to FOO men to Re.jar immediately-and Provisions plentr- and any where from 5 to 00 here, with like stores-and then a lfrserve A,-my on Coloraclo, to salllte the Gcnl with a f eu-dejoic, nnd then will all be well.
