George Sutherland was called to the chair, and G. Borden Jun appointed secretary. When i\Ir. Wm. iienefee read a -communication 2 from a tanding cominittee at Brazoria, being a history of the tran action at Anahuac; and the ituation of affair at Brazoria. :Mr. l\fenefee al o read the resolutions entered into by a large meeting of citizens on Turtle bayou; and made some remarks respecting the movement of the volunteers, who had marched to the mouth of the Brazo River; and also, explanetary of the meeting. On 1\lotion, l\Ie srs. Ja . Kerr, Frances , el1 , \\ m. :Menefee, John . Caldwell, John Andrews and Gail Borden Jun. were ap- pointed a committee to draft resolutions; being directed to report forthwith; and after retiring a hort time, made the following re- port, which was received, and unanimously adopted.
