I embrace the opportunity of l\{r, John R. IIarris, to inform you that I have chosen, (with :Mr. Hughes), a situation on the Bay, at a Place Called Red Bluff Point, which is the next, Point, to writers ( i) Point towards the Brassos I wish to know if you will grant us a League together or what ever you may see proper to give us. we wish to be together, I am now about sending some hands down to build us a small Cabin, and wish to hear from you by the first opportunity on the Subject, The situation is ·charming, the land second rate, but very little Timber, and what little there is on it Doctor Hunter wishes to include in his survey. which I hope you will prohibit, as it will give him something like 25 or 30 miles front on the Bay with the l\1ianclers. and will not admit of another set- tlement between him and Clear Creek,- Mr. Harris will inform you of the situation, of the Place :My respects to l\fr. ,villiams and John Austin JOHN CooKE [Rubric] P.
