Tengo el honor de comunicar a VS, mi feliz llegada con mis com- pafieros e.I 1° del corriente·'en este ]ugar, y darn. a V.S. vna relncion de mi viage.- Tome en·la Bahia vna guia a peso diario, y tres Yndios J aranames que me acompafiaron ocho dins; pero viendo que por no conoser estos los terrenos, no me servian de nada les despache a sus casas pagandoles el tiempo que los ·tuve en mi ·poder. Reconosi el Rfo de Guadalupe hasta la ·desembocadura, y despues registre la costa esperando encontrar el citio· del Presidio viejo de la Bahia pero n6 logre mi interito. El wrreno que he escogido para colocar la nueva Colonia, esta· cituado en el Rio Colorado, y delos Bravos, y las tierras en medio·de estos dos Rios desde sus desembocaduras en la mar hasta seis leguas arriva del camino Superior·de San An- tonio.
