DEAR SIR By the Committee you will receive the Resolutions of the Inhnbit- ants of the District I trust they will meet your approbation and that of the Governor I wish to be informed immediately when it would be necessary for me to rendesvous with the volunteers at St Felipe I think I shall be able to obtain five or six which will be the quota of our District as you mention that you wish altogether twenty or twenty five men ns an escort to the Governor. It will be very incon- venient as well as Detrimental to myself to go on with the Governor but if you command me to do so I must obey but I shall be in St Felipe when I shall converse more fully with you about it I shall use every exertion in my power to raise the ~olunteers and have them as well equiped as possible Trros M.
