the owners of all the stock of said institution; and who now, for the pur- pose of carrying said Charter into effect, certify that S. F. Austin is entitled to Five thousand one hundred________________________Shares, out of the FIITY THOUSAND SHARES into which the capital Stock of FIVE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS is divided; and that he is further entitled to Three thousa.nd one hundred and twenty five Shares to be created by AN Enlargement of the capital Stock of the Bank, over and above FIVE MILLIONS of DOL- LARS, with a proportionate interest in all the privileges granted by said Charter; and he is hereby placed precisely on the same footing as the origi,nal parties and associates in said Incorporated Charter. THIS CERTIFICATE SHALL BE TRANSFERABLE BY SIMPLE ENDORSEMENT ON THE BACK OF THE SAME, and the holder or holders shall be entitled to demand and receive the same rights and privi- leges as the original holder. SIR Columbia 28, Deer 1836 Immediately on receipt of this order you will detail a firing party to be commanded by yourself in person of (16) sixteen men with 4 rounds of blank cartridges to land over the Bayou above the House of McKinney and Williams and march immediately to the Residence of James F. Perry Esq to pay funeral honors to the late Genl S. F. Austin. decd- 1 Should this order reach you in the night you [will] not fail to march forthwith- By order of his Excelly GEo. W.
