Hago esta insinuacion para 4 11 V. S. queda impuesto con anticipa- cion de la probabilidad del estremo de que hablo y tambien para que V. S. obre con los dos que se hallan en esa de tal manera que no escapnn ni tenclran lugar a noticiar a los otros antes que Yo puedo llegar sobre el Rio Trinidad, y tal vez sera bueno ocultarles p' ahora la verdadera causa de su prision para evitar la sospecha que sus hermanos en Trinidad estaban tnmbien en peligro. Tan luego que puedo reunir una partida a prop6sito saldre en el desempeiio del encargo q 11 V. S. me ha dado, y si no acierto el objeto no sera por falta de zelo 6 actividnd de mi parte. DEAR Sm. I have Just Recd your friendly letter dated Austin 17th June, which of us is in debt in our literary Accounts is a subject I am not disposed to discuss at present, I will say tha.t I am glad always to Receive a letter from you and will with pleasure communicate any- thing to you I may possess of sufficient Interest to excite your atten- tion- we were soon informed of the arrival of Gen 1 Taran at Nacogdoches.
