You told me last spring you would send me down a pertition to sign-for one league of lund-on Galviston. I want to know if the pertition ,vas answered-or whether you are autherized to grant it. I also wish to know what right John had to Lease out my hous and 10-acres for five yea.rs. that I always considered my property. and it is hard to give it up. I loaned John last spring My watch on a business day. he has not returned it. that I wish .to reserve myself for Stephen his father bought it for him and gave it to me to keep it. the house John knows the circumstance very well. I do wish you to answer my letter and satisfy me. Stephen is much better but still has the fever- I think I shall be able to break it on him to day.
