MY DEAR Sm. :My last respects to you were care of ·Mr. :Meyer, re- questing you to do me the favor of forwarding me by said gentleman the 4th vol: of the "Novisimo Febrero," which I lendt to you in 1832 in Anahuac. I have received no answer, nor have I seen since :i\Ir. l\feyer, who as yet has not returned; therefore if you have not de- livered to him said Book, i)lease to do it to the Bearer Doct. Cameron, or if the Book is not to be had pay him 5$ the price thereof. The political situation• of the Interior is in a dreadful state, and the whole country inveloped in a chaos,-The Bearer of this who is w:11 informed of all 'that passes around us will explain you many thmgs also a letter I have written to David G.
